OniseOwo in numbers
Anyone can say their providers are checked. Here is what OniseOwo actually checks, how many people do not get in, and where every review comes from. Real accounts only, never test data. Counted at 17 Oct 2026, 3:07 (Lagos time), and every hour.
OniseOwo is opening in Lagos. These numbers start with the first founding providers, so most are still zero.
Who gets in
Every provider applies free and goes through every check before anyone can book them. Nobody can pay to get in or to get a higher level.
Declined means OniseOwo staff looked at everything and said no: missing proof, a reference who said no, or a photo copied from somewhere else.
How we check
Masters, past clients and guarantors confirm from their own phones with a one-time code. OniseOwo then calls some of them back, chosen at random, so nobody knows who will be called.
Certificates are checked again every 2 years. Photos are compared with every other profile, so stolen pictures of someone else's work are caught.
Where reviews come from
Only the customer of a job paid through NaijaMart Trust can review it. Neither side sees the other's review until both have written, or 14 days have passed, and a review cannot be changed once sent.
A provider whose last 10 reviews average below 4 is looked at again by OniseOwo staff. Providers rate customers too, and staff look at any customer reported by several providers.
The OniseOwo Promise
If work paid through OniseOwo is faulty inside its warranty, the provider puts it right. If they cannot, OniseOwo arranges another listed provider and pays from the Promise pool, up to ₦100,000 a job.
0 jobs completed, all paid through NaijaMart Trust: the money is held until the customer confirms each stage.
Strikes
A provider who does not turn up, cancels after being paid, or will not put faulty work right gets a strike. 3 strikes in 90 days pauses them automatically.
